8 Tide Nor'easter
![]() |
| We had a 4 day nor'easter, with 8 heavy surf supermoon tides that threw at least one boat ashore on Sagamore Beach. |
![]() |
| We got out 2 of the 4 days in various towns, weather conditions and tides. We started in Sandwich. |
![]() |
| Sagamore Beach turned out to be the storm hot spot, at least of the 5 beaches we checked out. Duxbury, Sandwich, Plymouth and Marshfield didn't have any boats wasing ashore. |

| Sagamore Beach has a cool tree that has, over countless storms, obtained a sort of nor'easter tilt. |
![]() |
| There was a steady NE wind from Friday through Monday. |
![]() |
| A couple of other boats held up well enough, but you want to try to get these out of the water before Nor'easter Weekend. |

| Hopefully, homie didn't bash off thay groyne too much before beaching. |

| The White Cliffs are handy because you can shoot pictures from like 6 stories up. |

| The nor'easter was a minor one, notable only for the length of it. The Outer Cape had a few towns with 10" or more of rain over the weekend. That's why I went South Shore, babe. |

| Once they replace the Ocean Road South seawall, the only people who can do Death Runs will be Olympic athletes. |

| Duxbury got a few pretty good waves while I was there. |
![]() |
| Duxbury has also only gotten one serious test of the new wall since it went up (passed easily). There has been somewhat of a nor'easter lull the past few years. |
![]() |
| Not that we miss damaging storms, but when a lull comes, it is usually broken with a Big Kahuna. |

| Duxbury was friggin' slacking on seawalls for a long time, but are about to make a Great Leap Forward as far as coastal security goes. |
![]() |
| Almost time to put up the winter barrier, and enjoy some DBC storm video below... |
![]() |
| Duxbury sailors (and Marshfield, from what I saw) were savvy enough to not take mid-storm sailing trips down the Cape or do any surf-zone anchoring, unlike the folks in Saggy B. |

| I was going to edit and level this shot, but doing so would take away from the fire-the-camera-out-the-window vibe of the photographer. |

| If you really need to be hit by a wave, park at the former Charlie's in Brant Rock. |
![]() |
| Not storm related, but that's the former Arthur & Pat's with a toothy new mascot. They're gonna have to paint that ish back to barn red before Equalizer VII starts filming. |

| Denzel can still chuck someone off the tower if need be, though... |

| A quick trip to Sexy Rexy, aka Rexhame. |

| We decided against the long loop we would have had to take to get to Scituate to add more towns to the kitty. |

| Scituate gets some background love. |
